I recently received firearms, tactical, IARD, hostage rescue, etc. training from Jim Bremner. The training I received was the best hands on practical training that I have ever had the opportunity to be involved in. The knowledge and skill that Jim brings to the training grounds with his "life experience" are second to none. Anyone considering training by Bremner Associates should look no further. You’re not going to find a better instructor with the knowledge and field experience that Jim has to offer! I have taken courses in the past that I could have learned out of a text book. Jim creates a real life training atmosphere that you can relate to in real life situations. Our team never thought we would be so down come our last training day. It was hard to see Jim go, knowing that he still had so much that we could learn from. I am looking to advance my career in the near future and I will definitely be looking to Bremner Associates for the training I need to move forward. Thanks again from the entire team!
Jim's excellent practical experience and effective teaching techniques allowed for a great learner experience. Jim uses various delivery methods and ensures that the message is well received. He allowed the team to have input into their learning and still deliver the material that he required. As a Special Operations Medic, he allowed us to be part of all training and geared some of the activities to fill our needs. Great course, thanks Jim.
Jim’s expertise and patience has been the driving force for me as an actor. His guidance and knowledge has grounded me in playing Sgt. Gregory Parker on FLASHPOINT. His sage-like wisdom to the practicality and unpredictability of police tactics has given me the comfort and confidence to play a character that would otherwise be foreign to me.
I love it when Jimmy shows up to the set of FLASHPOINT, I always feel that those days, we can get it “right” and at the very least we can give a more accurate depiction of the life of a “tactic guy” and even if we “f” it up, Jimmy’s the last guy to make you feel stupid…
Thanks Jimmy, I’m really glad and proud that you’re on our team.
As my Team Leader, I depended on Jim's extensive knowledge, leadership, and experience to lead the team through some of the most difficult tactical calls in the unit's history. He did so with a degree of professionalism and a dedication to safety that brought us all home at the end of the day. He is the finest tactical officer and one of the best instructors I have ever had the honour of working with.
Jimmy gave me the insight into what it is to be a human being as well as a highly trained tactical cop. His weapons training and insight into teaching the team to operate as a unit was crucial for me to be able to do justice to my role as Team Leader Ed Lane in FLASHPOINT.
When I was requested by the Turkish National Police to provide instructors to teach “tactics” to their police officers, I had no hesitation choosing Jimmy Bremner. Jimmy’s expertise in the tactical field is second to none.
His dedication and professionalism is very commendable.
Jimmy has presented at CCII courses and conferences on numerous occasions with very positive feedback from the participants.
